Swimming in the Nile

After we listened to the performers Panther insisted on showing me the Nile. So I got into my swim suit and together we proceeded to the beach followed by an entire tribe. Everyone plunged into the water. It was amazing to see people who see the Nile every day yet they are still so thankful for it and have such a good time beneath it's smooth surface. Sometimes we don't realize the things we have.

When I was with Panther we went to a performance under a huge tree with many of the village assembled.

My visit with Panther

I have decided to go to Southern Sudan with Panther and visit his village Mareng. This is a map of his home up above. I'm very excited to see something so foreign. Between the wildlife, the people and culture, the landscape and the Nile it is sure to be an amazing journey.
